Gnome-terminal crashes after Midnight Commander finishes copying files
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Gnome-terminal crashes after Midnight Commander finishes copying files when option to dynamically replace title is selected. Steps to reproduce the crash: 0. Lanuch gnome-terminal (ensure you have selected the option to dynamically replace title of gnome-terminal's window). 1. Open Midnight Commander 2. Dive into zip archive (tar.gz will be good also) 3. Copy all contents to some directory 4. gnome-terminal crashes, after all files have been copied... (And window's title was updated with some junk characters... ) Expected Results: Terminal should never crash! How often does this happen? Almost every time... And than I tried to change option to dynamically update window's title which remedied the problem. And than to verify the problem I reverted back to previous setting, but problem did not appeared again. ( and I'm very happy :) But stacktraces may be useful ....
