Description Ronald Nathan 2003-10-24 22:34:24 UTC
There is no way to set the default paper size in gnome. I usr
evolution,v1.4.4 on Solaris. And everytime I go to print from evolution, I
have to change the paper size to the one that my printer uses, which is
essentially from A4 to Letter. I have not been able to find a place where
I can set the default to Letter, and don't worry about setting in my
applications specifically.

I been told that the default paper settings have been hard code in teh
print library of GNOME.

Help in resolving this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ronald

This is essentially the same issue as bug 105988 (default paper size
should be locale dependent.)
