The battery status applet constantly eats 5-15% of the CPU on my 1GHz
laptop. I assume without checking with the code that the cause is that the
battery status is polled way too often. This should be delayed to e.g. two
minutes. Ideally the polling time should be configurable. As it is now the
battery applet eats way too much CPU.. Especially considering the fact that
it will only be run on laptops which needs the running-time.
