Description Dennis Cranston 2003-10-10 20:53:58 UTC
Description of Problem:

Refer to the following bug report for a possible solution:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119647

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Create a text file with a very long filename.

   touch 01234567890123456789012345678901234567890012345678901234567890.txt

2. Open the file with gedit, type something, and save the file.

3. Select Actions->Open Recent.

4. The whole filename is displayed.

Actual Results:
If the filename is long enough it can span across the entire desktop.

Expected Results:
Long filenames should be truncated and trailed with "...".

How often does this happen?
Always

Syncing with libegg should fix this
