Description awol 2003-09-29 11:42:20 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 0.94 (Severn)
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.4.0 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: GNOME.Org
Synopsis: after unchecking gconf-editor->nautilus->preferences->show_desktop nautilus crashes on next boot
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Desktop
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.4.0)
Description:
Description of the crash: after gnome starts up and the icons in the
redhat logo are displaying nautilus crashes and error message pops up,
panel becomes black

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. use gconf-editor and go to nautilus-preferences to uncheck
'show_desktop'
2. logout
3. startx

Expected Results: the desktop would start up without icons (like under
RH9). I don't like icons on the desktop. (why is there no easy way to
get rid of the icons)

How often does this happen? always
