Description Nicholas Smith 2003-09-25 05:17:01 UTC
Description of Problem:
Depending upon where a window is located
on-screen, the maximize feature doesn't seem to be
working properly. Problem described briefly and
verified at
http://www.dropline.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1512

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open any window (such as the epiphany browser),
resize it so that it is very small.
2. Move the window to the right-hand side of the
screen.
3. Hit the maximize button

Actual Results:
The window maximizes, but doesn't occupy the
entire screen. It leaves about 10% of the
right-side of the screen visible. Sometimes
leaves half the screen visible. Depends on where
the window was when you hit maximize.

Expected Results:
Expect window to fully-maximize.

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:
This is in the Gnome 2.4 build by Dropline.

confirmed. And it's freaking the hell out of me. You know what I bet
this is caused by the resize then move thing, because the work areas
are being computed correctly according to my log. We ought to go
ahead an go back to move then resize.
Comment 2 Rob Adams 2003-10-07 02:36:14 UTC
this is fixed in CVS and will be in the upcoming Gnome 2.4.1 release
shortly after Oct 13 or thereabouts.
