Description Joona Palaste 2003-09-23 11:44:00 UTC
I'm using Gnome-Panel 2.2.0.1 on a RedHat Linux 9.0 workstation. When I
choose "Properties" from the Panel menu, I can select a background colour.
I usually select light blue. Then I click on "Close" and I can use the
light blue panel.
But when I log out of the computer and log back in, the panel is all black
and unusable. I have to manually set it to light blue back again.
What's more, none of the "Properties" or "Preferences" dialogs in any of
the Gnome-Panel windows have "OK" or "Apply" buttons. All I see is "Close"
and "Help". This means that to save properties across sessions, I have to
edit the property files by hand.
Is my installation of Gnome-Panel faulty or is there some crucial thing I
am missing here? It seems strange that the dialogs don't have "OK" or
"Apply" buttons.

This is the same bug as #115692 reported by Jörg Skottke.
