GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 122788
GnuCash crashed while typing in the transaction description in the general ledger
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:37:28 UTC
Package: GnuCash Severity: normal Version: 1.8.1 Synopsis: GnuCash crashed while typing in the transaction description in the general ledger Bugzilla-Product: GnuCash Bugzilla-Component: User Interface General Description: Description of Problem: Crashed will filling details into the general ledger. I'd typed in the first four characters of the description field and hit tab to accept the current match and move to the next field when it crashed. I'd entered in a few transactions already (hamburger for lunch, groceries, paycheck.) Guile is the c++ interface to gtk, isn't it? I didn't notice anything obviously wrong with anything on the screen at the time. Steps to reproduce the problem: I haven't tried to reproduce the problem yet. Expected Results: Well, obviously I'd prefer it didn't crash. How often does this happen? This is the first time so far. Additional Information: Fairly stock Red Hat 9.0, not much going on in the background. Mozilla, kvirc, a number of xterms. It would probably be more helpful if I had a copy of GnuCash with debugging symbols. Can somone point me towards the cvs server, in case this should happen again? Hi. 1.8.7 is current -- can you upgrade to 1.8.7 and then try to reproduce?
