Description Keith Lea 2003-09-18 04:02:29 UTC
In most cases, I am uncomfortable with both "view
as icons" and "view as list" views, as I have a
screen that only goes up to 1024x768 and neither
of those views shows very many files at once, even
when zoomed out.

I'd like a view mode where icons and filenames
were tightly packed so that I could see the as
many files on screen as possible. Possibly an
implementation similar Windows Explorer's View as
List would be appropriate.

If you guys aren't into this, could anyone point
me towards some information on how to develop this
myself? I think I could implement a view, but I
think it would be a lot easier to just extend or
modify the View as Icons view, but I can't seem to
find any documentation on that sort of thing.
