Dave, what do you think ? Conflicts etc ...
ccing calum he knows the intricacies of keyboard shortcutss better than i.
I'm pretty sure that ctrl+tab is supposed to move backwards through items in the tab chain so this is wontfix imo.Although ephy doesn't do the correct behavior either. STill need input from calum though.
[Shift-]Ctrl-Tab is used to move focus out of controls that otherwise use Tab for themselves; we shouldn't use it for anything other than that IMHO. [Shift-]Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn and [Shift-]Ctrl-Alt-PgUp/PgDn are already implemented for switching tabs, so that should be plenty sufficient :)
Just a question on this bug (as I was going to file this myself, but found this): Many apps I know of that use tabs use CTRL+Tab to switch through tabs, including two major Web Browsers: Firefox and Opera. What problem with switching focus does Epiphany have that they don't, and is this problem really reason enough to break compatibility with them?
Ctrl-Tab is reserved for moving the focus. No gtk+ program with a notebook widget changes tabs with Ctrl-Tab; it's firefox that's out of line if it does that.
