Description Patrick 2003-09-13 00:56:35 UTC
Error dialogs currently show their message using a textbox or possibly a
textview. As a result the message is shown in what looks like an editable
box. It would look nicer to draw it as a label (is a label insufficient for
this purpose?) with the background the same as the dialog and without a
border. The error should be informational rather than ambiguously
suggesting some sort of feedback/typing/entry is needed.

You can't easily copy the information from a label. Being able to copy the error information is _very_useful.

I am not sure which error-dialog this refers to. Those dialogs have changed since the time of the report, so de-facto this is a WONTFIX. Or perhaps this already has been fixed or is not applicable anymore.

Please refile if you are running into an error-dialog where this still applies.
