GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 121821
eject removable media by putting their icon in the trash bin
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Will be much easier than clicking on their icon with the right mouse button and selecting the eject voice. This will enhance the desktop usability, for the user is more easy to put the icon in the trash in order to umount and eject them, than searching in the rmb menu for the eject/umount voice
Sorry, but I can't really agree with this one. How on earth will a user think that dragging a floppy icon into the trash bin will unmount it? This is crazy. I understand this is the way it works on the Mac, but I really don't think people will associate deleting stuff and unmounting stuff with each other. Usability people?
