Package: gedit Severity: major Version: 2.2.1 Synopsis: Crash if you leave gedit open for a long time Bugzilla-Product: gedit Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1) Description: Description of Problem: I left gedit open because I was broswing the web,(it was a few hours). Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open gedit with a large file 2. do something else(had the termal & Mozilla open 3. do for several hours intill Gnome surpries you by saying it crashed Actual Results: Reconized Crash Expected Results: Should have stayed open How often does this happen? Seems to happen alot in Red Hat 9 Additional Information: HP Pavilion 533c, using kernel 2.6 -test4(from Redhat's ftp) I think this is a pointer error, mostly with garbage collection(just a guess) Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-terminal' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...
