Description oskar 2003-08-22 22:19:58 UTC
If you press the middle mouse button for the "mouse-gesture" scrolling
feature and a modal dialog pops up (modal for that browsing window), you're
stuck and can't do anything - you can't change windows (even to another
application), select menus etc. The only thing you can do, is use the
keyboard to close the dialog box (fortunately). However, I didn't know this
at first and since you basicly can do nothing else you're kind of stuck.

Here's how to reproduce it. Type in some domain address that doesn't exist
in the address bar. Immediately press the middle mouse button in the main
area. If you are fast enough (or the domain address resolve process slow
enough), you'll get a dialog window. Voila.

I don't know if this is a bug in my window manager (icewm 1.2.1so 0), or in
X (I think this happens with other applications in other scenarios as
well). But since it is rather easy to reproduce I thought I'd report it...
