GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 119782
Disappearing values in spinbuttons
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The Brush Editor dialog (the one that you get when clicking the "New" button in the Brushes dialog) does not show the values of several of the settings. If I fill these out by hand, they dissapear when I click in one of the other entry boxes. The internal value then seems to reset to something else than the default value, so that when I enter values from top to bottom, I start out with a round brush, and end with a flat one. Also (this may be related, but not necessarily), the maximum sized brush 2001 pixels, causes weird previews in both the dialog Brushes as in the dialog Brush Editor.

I can't reproduce that on debian sid. Do the other entries and spinbuttons look normal? Might be somehow theme related, depending on what "disappear" means :)
I can reproduce the problems with the disappearing values on WinXP. This may be caused by bugs in GTK+. It is not limited to this dialog, the new image dialog shows the same symptoms. On gimp-developer, Tor Lillqvist write that there were many win32 related bugfixes for GTK+ 2.2.2, so we should wait for 2.2.3 (due this week iirc).
Please reassign this bug to GTK+ then.
Reassigning to GTK+. This report was originally opened against GIMP-1.3.18.
