Description lourosas 2003-08-11 03:51:50 UTC
Description of Problem:
In RedHat 7.3, the gnome window manger had the
ability to set the window preferences: such as
not choosing to show contents of the window while
dragging/resizing, showing the size of the window
durring resizing, etc.
There is nothing there now.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Get REdHat Linux 8.0/load it in
2. Go to the Gnome menu
3. Try to find the windows preferereces selection

Actual Results: nothing

Expected Results:something alowing me to mess with
the window contents

How often does this happen? All the (f'n) time

Additional Information: KDE is better!!! I never
thought I would sayu that. This was a feature on
RH 7.3 and lower.

Metacity comes as the standard Window manager for Gnome-2.0 but you
can easily install Sawfish (the window manager that RH 7.3 used) and
choose it as your window manager.
