Description Aschwin van der Woude 2003-08-03 12:13:05 UTC
It happens often that the turned stones are noticed by not the newly placed
stome. The should be a better indication what the last move has been.
Comment 1 Callum McKenzie 2003-08-05 09:28:30 UTC
Good point. This will have to wait until 2.5 to be fixed, fortunately
this will not be too far in the future.

If you have any suggestions about *how* the move should be made more
noticeable, please send them in.
Comment 2 Aschwin van der Woude 2003-08-05 19:19:13 UTC
Perhaps a border that fades away or stays, or highlighting the last
stone placed.
The stagger option also hels to determine where approximately the last
move was. And should be the default from this point of view.

I noticed a GNOME Othello "Sirius" game that uses a small dot drawn in the
corner of the last piece moved whenever "Show Legal Moves" is checked in prefs.
I like it, though would suggest placement in the center of the pieces for these
games.
Comment 4 Callum McKenzie 2004-11-17 04:25:20 UTC
Nice idea. Won't necessarily work well with arbitrary themes though.

I am thinking of fixing this bug using a slow 'pulse' such as the one used on the panel and the color computed here: http://david.navi.cx/blog/?p=94 . Taking ownership of this bug.
