Description Muktha 2003-07-24 06:34:55 UTC
The password is shown in plain text and also visible when keying in.
Comment 1 Fernando Herrera 2004-04-13 09:52:01 UTC
Maybe gnome-vfs should look for proxy user/server on gconf and then get the
password via gnome-keyring. I don't know exactly the impact this change would
have. There is out there GNOME apps using http connections without using gnome-
vfs http module? (then they should read directly gconf keys for proxy
settings.)
Comment 2 Fernando Herrera 2004-04-23 12:07:35 UTC
I'm moving this to gnome-vfs to poke the maintainers about it :)
Comment 3 Christian Kellner 2005-02-09 13:50:05 UTC
gnome-vfs' http method does already ask the keyring if there isn't any password
specified in gconf. I am moving this to the control-center therefore which
should store the password in the keyring. Maybe some programs have to be changed
to so they access the keyring (epiphany?).
