Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a document in gedit
2. Scroll to somewhere other than the very top
3. Shift focus to another window
4. shift focus back

Actual Results:

- The document is scrolled to the top

Expected Results:

- The document's scroll position should not be affected

How often does this happen?

- Every time

Additional Information:

- Window manager is Metacity, configured to:
-- Select windows when the mouse moves over them
-- Raise selected windows after an interval (0.5 seconds)
