Description jason lowry 2003-07-16 22:48:40 UTC
I really like the gnome clock which, by default, is on the gnome panel.
However, I have a few suggestions...

First, when the user clicks (or double-clicks) a date, it would be nice if
it would automatically open the gnomecal calender and show that day's
appointments.

Furthermore... It would be really nice for clock to work with gnomecal and
act as a "gnomecal daemon" while it is open on the panel. This is because
gnomecal will notify you if there is an appointment, but only if it's
running. It doesn't do you any good if it's not running. It would be
perfect if clock and gnomecal were combined.

thanks,

jason

This is gnome-panel stuff. Reassigning.

Personally, I would like the GNOME 1.4 behaviour to come back, too:
The clock should provide a context menu that offers to open the
calendar. Which calendar (Evolution, GNOME Calendar, or something
different) could be a GConf option, maybe set using the Preferred
Applications capplet.
