Description Adam McLaurin 2003-07-10 17:13:15 UTC
Many editors allow you to toggle showing
whitespace characters (eg, space, tab, newline,
carriage return, etc). This simple feature is very
useful when you're cleaning up documents with bad
tabbing, or doing a quick check on a document for
stray whitespace.

I would very much like to see this feature added
to gedit in the future. If anyone is curious to
see how it is done 'properly', check UltraEdit for
Win32.

AFAIK this (if possible) belongs in gtksourceview. As a matter of fact
bug 132826 requests the same feature.
