Description Josh Schneider 2003-07-02 04:15:59 UTC
Description of Problem:
Adding panel applets such as the Window Menu,
Window List, Sticky Notes, or Weather; crash on
startup. The error points to "wnck-applet" each time.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Right click on a panel
2. Choose Add to Panel and then Utilities
3. Click on Window Menu

Actual Results:
Crash notification pointing to "wnck-applet"

Expected Results:
Window Menu Icon.

How often does this happen?
Everytime. It seems as though the Sticky Notes
App is still running, since I get crash errors
when I enter GNOME.

Additional Information:
Gnome 2.3.1 installed from RPMs from NyQuist Apt
Repository

Please install bug-buddy to make it easier to give us backtraces of
any crashes happening. Also you might want to check if there are newer
packages available since 2.3.1 is "old" by now.
Comment 2 Josh Schneider 2003-07-02 14:55:03 UTC
Checked the most updated packages... I have the most current he has
posted. I will install Bug Buddy tonight and get you a backtrace as
soon as possible.

Thanks :)

Josh: ping ? Any news ?
Comment 4 Josh Schneider 2003-09-23 15:07:23 UTC
Last time I ran GNOME, I still had this problem with only the window
list and window menu applets.

Unfortunately, I was forced to switch hardware (darn surge), and the
new combo of hardware didn't agree with Linux, so I had to switch to
Windows... so I have not had a chance to test it.

Ok. So I'll close the bug then, since you cannot provide more
informations. Thanks
