Description of Problem:

When I switch between tabs with different font sizes my terminal resizes
itself to accomodate. This can be very irritating sometimes, especially
when going from a window with a very small font (such as monitoring a
log) to one with a larger font.

How about an option to disable window resizing, so the window just keeps
whatever size it happens to be at the moment?

Moving to the correct product & component (gnome-core is only for

Instread of a pref, maybe gnome-terminal should limit the auto
resizing to the screen size.

I'd make the font size effect every tab in the same window, instead of setting
the size individually. Thoughts? This would change the point of the feature
request, but archieves about the same result.
