GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 116076
Build from a clean tree fails for -j n passed to make [n > 1 for multi-cpu machines]
Last modified: 2008-05-11 12:07:51 UTC
If building using '-j 8' on a multi-cpu machine, the build fails quickly as the GConfX.h file is not generated before the build of the '.c' files commences. Hence any file including "gconf-internals.h" will fail to build until the file has been generated.
for now the answer is "don't do that then" though I'd welcome a patch to fix this somehow.

The multiple job issue only happend in the "backend" sub-folder. Unfortunatly I have not been able to find a way to disable the job server for one directory.
Can't reproduce this any more. Do people still see this?
No response. Closing.
