Description Daniel Silverstone 2003-06-18 19:20:53 UTC
When I switched from sawfish to metacity I discovered there was no way for
me to configure keybindings to (for example) run xterms or other apps.

Initially the help for the keybindings applet suggested that I was meant to
use that applet, but since April, that information has disappeared and I
now can find no way to configure custom keybindings when using metacity at all.
Comment 1 Rob Adams 2003-06-19 00:58:54 UTC
Metacity supports this, but the control panel configuration applet has
no way to access this functionality. You can do it manually by
editing the apps/metacity/keybinding_commands and
apps/metacity/global_keybindings gconf keys using gconf-editor.
Comment 2 Daniel Silverstone 2003-06-19 09:15:18 UTC
So rather than being a metacity bug, it's a bug in the applets?

If so, why did you close it instead of reassigning?
Comment 3 Rob Adams 2003-06-19 14:45:41 UTC
fine. Whatever.

Well, at least I now know what bug to track.
