GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 115427
missing path editor features
Last modified: 2003-10-21 11:39:42 UTC
The path editor in the development version is non-functional as far as I have tried it. Both in the development version and in stable release, there seems to not be a method of moving path elements around, even if you can adjust the spline controllers.
correction...development does allow movement, thats all it seems to do...
Can we then please have a detailed list of missing features for the development version? Please indicate which features are a must to have and which would just be a nice addition. Without such detailed informations this report is useless.
It seems the problem with the development version is that either there are key combinations necessary to add/delete path elements, or the tool is just broken, the 'add to selection' and 'remove from selection' buttons only affect the tool by adding a + or - beside the cursor, respectively.
Simon, could you comment on this, please? The new path tool seems grand to me, but I'm no expert. Dave.
If it would be useful, I can list exactly what is missing: - The add/remove functions don't seem to work(the add to selection/remove from selection modes) - More of a missing feature: there is no way to move both sides of the point at the same time, like the normal function of stable's path tool(either that, or meta does it, because fluxbox uses meta for its own purposes)
the tool is not finished. I am on it. Symmetrically handle movement works though: use SHIFT while dragging one handle also moves the opposite one. Adding/Deleting Nodes does not yet work.
Closing this bug as fixed - all of the issues in it have been implemented in the new path tool. Dave.
