Description 67i9nk90 2003-06-08 07:47:23 UTC
When the news server sends a "502 Authentication error", pan doesn't report
the error to the user and keeps silently retrying. After changing my
password on the server and forgetting to update the setting in pan, I had
to run with --debug-sockets to figure out why it wasn't connecting.

No, crap, I should learn my lesson and not leave two bugzilla issues
opened at the same time. I meant to close #117183, not this one.
