Description jobezone 2003-06-04 00:26:38 UTC
Well, Metacity doesn't save the size of a window
when I resize it, and when re-opening the same
app, it keeps going to the default size.

RANT:(It's a "pain in the ass" to me, since I can
only use a 800x600 screen, and in gnome2. For
example, whenever I open a new nautilus windows,
it's slightly moved downwards, which always hides
its statusbar(of nautilus)).

WISH:If this is doable, I wish the last size of
the window of an application to be the same when
we re-opened it in the future.

Thanks!

Nautilus, by the way, already implements this -- nautilus windows
already save their size and position. If you're having trouble with
nautilus, make sure you're running the latest version and then file a
bug report on nautilus,

Bug 91481 talks about a patch to make metacity do this automatically
for all applications, however.
