Description David Joerg 2003-05-21 11:17:05 UTC
I experience this bug regularly. It happenes when I delete/cut/copy'n'paste
files but not every time. It crashes with a message about an Memory access
error.

Thanks for the bug report. Without a stack trace from the crash it's
very hard to determine what caused the crash. Please see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/getting-traces.cgi for more information
about getting a useful stack trace.
Comment 2 Vadim Berezniker 2003-06-04 07:21:40 UTC
Do you happen to have non-western characters in the files that cause
nautilus to crash?

I think I came across this bug too, I will provide a stack trace in a bit.

Comment 4 Vadim Berezniker 2003-06-04 09:22:10 UTC
In this case, I am copying three files containing valid unicode
characters from one physical drive to another. (same partition moves
are fine, I guess because in that case file name doesn't really matter
since all that changes is hard link)

>Do you happen to have non-western characters in the files that cause

Sorry, I didn't look on that. I'll write a follow up if that's the
case on the next crash.

From the stack trace appears to be a duplicate of bug 108482. This
stack trace has debugging symbols, which may prove useful. Thanks for
the report, and if you can add any extra information or answer any
additional questions the maintainer may have in bug 108482, it would
be greatly appreciated.

I'm reopening so I can mark as a duplicate.
