If I put an accented character (à) in a report name, it doesn't appear in
the report: a space is printed instead.

My environment:

LANG=it_IT
LC_COLLATE=it_IT
LC_CTYPE=it_IT
LC_MONETARY=it_IT
LC_NUMERIC=it_IT
LC_TIME=it_IT

Yes, unfortunately we can't fix that. See bug #84604 .
