Description Marc Mulcahy 2003-05-07 03:22:52 UTC
The markup used iin presentation rules in nonstandard, undocumented, and
rather speech unfriendly. It is difficult for a blind person, just by
listening to what is spoken while navigating the table of presentation
rules, to understand what they do. This markup should be hidden from the
user. If it is desirable for users to be able to reorder how elements are
spoken, then the dialog should be simplified such that it provides some
general checkboxes or list boxes for setting the order of how elements are
spoken and create the markup internally.

We will investigate it, how we could modify the UI to make it more
user friendly.

As shown in bug 116154, these messages make no sense to translators
either.

The dialog for changing "pesentation strings" was removed from
gnopernicus.

A new and somehow related bug is 134964.
