Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 2.2.0.1 Synopsis: Gnome Panel and Nautilus cause segmentation fault when trying to access my Samba shared device Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.2.0.1) Description: Description of Problem: Windows 98 NetBUI shared folder connects well most of the time, but has crashed Nautilus three times with segfault. I have been unable to return to normal second time without restarting machine (didn't fix), installing KDE (didn't fix) returning to Gnome (somehow it worked). Steps to reproduce the problem:Uncertain of exact steps. I have copied files over with no problem before, but the 1st two times it crashed, it reported errors. This last crash I did not get this far as I was unable to connect to Samba server (says smb not running, though it is). I have tried shutting down and restarting Samba, but this does not fix. I am unable to get connected to Samba again. Additional Information: Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...
