GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 111746
Cannot print postscript with german and maybe other language settings
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: GIMP Severity: critical Version: 1.3.14 Synopsis: Cannot print postscript with german and maybe other language settings Bugzilla-Product: GIMP Bugzilla-Component: General Description: Description of Problem: If your language setting is german (export LANG=german) it is impossible to print any postscript output. Debugging a by gimp produced postscript file, the following line 0,402 0,402 scale can be identified as the problem. It seems not the language setting affects the "." setting for decimal numbers in the postscript output. This could be verified by unsetting the LANG variable and printing the same file. The above line looks now like: 0.402 0.402 scale Now the postscript code is correct and can be printed. This problem may happen with other language settings. How often does this happen? Always. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2003-04-28 09:00 ------- Unknown version 1.3.x in product GIMP. Setting version to the default, "unspecified". Oops, this is *not* a duplicate of bug #101263, but it's also not a GIMP bug. Please report against gimp-print, since GIMP depends on it for printing: http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/ Closing again as NOTGNOME.
