This appears to be a duplicate of 108603, however that was marked as fixed and this report claims it's version 2.3.x (in two places anyway, the version is still marked as 2.2.x for some reason). I don't know if that fix was applied before this version was released or not, so I'm going to leave this bug open. Reporter: What's the real version on this? Setting priority->high & severity->critical (it's a crasher), adding the STACKTRACE keyword (due to the stacktrace with symbols--also, it's more complete than the one in bug 108603 which is missing frames 11-17). Also, adding the bugsquad keyword.
Newren : The line numbers(2820)of panel.c matches with the 2.2 gnome-panel code. Marking it dup of bug 108603 Yang: if your 'About Panels' dialog has 2.3.0 as its version and you still see this problem, kindly reopen. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 108603 ***
i have installed it with garnome0.23.1 that made all configure and install. gnome is 2.30 version, gnome-panel version is 2.2.1. in the readme gnome-panel: * Make the "Delete Panel?" dialog modal (Arvind) * Delete child drawer panels when deleting panels (Arvind) * Destroy "Create Launcher" dialogs when the panel is destrored (Arvind) * Do not query the deletion of a panel if there are no objects on it (Heeten, Arvind) i dont' understand myself if my crash was fixed in gnome-applet2.2.1 or i must install gome-applet2.3 to resolve it or if there is a patch.
yang: Oh, garnome 0.23.0 has gnome-2-2 panelstill. The problem has been fixed since then in the latest cvs gnome-panel 2.2 code. Hence I will mark it a dup of bug 108603. Will request Mark (maintainer of gnome-panel) probably to go in for another release of gnome-2-2(2.2.2) code soon. But anyways marking a cc to jdub as well. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 108603 ***
Hey mass, I got a way to resolve this problem You have to remove the panel "forcing" a reset. Unset all subPath and Keys on gconf panels. For ex.: #gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/panel/profiles/default/panels ** Becareful! With this All your panel configuration will be lost After that, Log out gnome and Log on (gdm too) Click on panel, and after remove this panel... Success Thank for the people on irc.gnome.org #gnome RcD rcd_rcd@terra.com.br
