GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 111231
statusbar should show the current # of MB to be burned
Last modified: 2018-09-21 16:22:18 UTC
n-c-d should display in the status bar of the nautilus window how many megs of files have been selected to be burned. The only current way to determine the number of megs selected is to hit the "write contents to a cd" button.
There is no way for applications or plugins to affect the status bar, so this is sort of hard to do at the moment.
If now there is no way for applications or plugins to affect the status bar, then we can simply display this information in the nautilus sidebar's information bar.

Alex: The problem is IMHO not the statusbar integration but that we can't simply implement gnome_vfs_get_volume_free_space for the mapping method without knowing the volume that will be used for writing. Do we need a get_volume_used_space function for methods?
I'm marking this dependent on bug 335816. The idea is that the burning window *is* the empty disc.
