gnome-panel crash after move

Package: gnome-panel Severity: critical Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: gnome-panel crash after move Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: Moved gnome-panel to right edge of screen in workspace 1 and system crashed. Rebooted to see if it was an isolated incident and it comes back. It's consistent and it's gnome panel. I tried "top" to stop the process but it keeps spawning again and again. I was able to start a terminal while this was happening. In the terminal I "su" and execute gnome-panel and it pulls up root's panel according to roots profile. I don't know what in my profile is doing this. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. move panel to right side of screen 2. reboot 3. just login Actual Results: gnome-panel crash Expected Results: working system... How often does this happen? first time. Additional Information: how would I reset my profile? Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... 0x40846587 in waitpid () from /lib/libpthread.so.0
