Description Toby Woodwark 2003-04-09 00:26:52 UTC
The 'stretch icon' context menu item is greyed out when you have selected
multiple icons in icon view.

I think it would be nice to be able to scale many icons at once using the
'stretching handles' attached to the first icon selected. This would make
icon stretching more of a feature in my eyes.

There might be problems with the spacing between icons afterwards in
desktop view (because it doesn't auto-arrange).

Still valid for 2.13.

I hope you don't mind if I bump this feature request, I think in the current status icon stretching is kind of pointless because every icon ends with its own size. For example there is no easy way for me to enlarge (to a common size) folders only.

This would only affect the desktop view which is not provided by default in GNOME 3. It would be very tricky to design correctly and implement so I don't think the benefit is worth it.
