GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 110193
net-rhythmbox has forked monkey-media
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Colin Walter's rhythmbox fork 'net-rhythmbox' currently uses it's own snapshot of monkey-media. This needs to be fixed as part of the work to un-fork net-rhythmbox.

patches 1-5 above can be added incrementally in the order they are listed. Patch 6 is an indepentant patch that fixes a simple typo I spotted
basically all this is nasty hacks to work around gstreamer bugs, which is why I didn't want to apply it in the first place and why it was forked. but i believe gstreamer is fixed now, so the need has disappeared. however i have a patch which makes typefinding use spider, however spider needs to be fixed for that first.. or maybe it is fixed already.. i should check it out..
It's bug 94113 - will be fixed in 0.6.1 so we should be able to just depend on that :)
I don't know of any files that spider fails to open. With the exception noted in bug 94113: gnomevsssrc's iradio mode is (still) broken in 0.6.1.
Monkey-media has been forked into cvs HEAD as of 2003-08-02. Marking as FIXED. -harshy
