Description sourav.mandal 2003-04-04 04:11:25 UTC
The battstat applet uses whopping amounts of CPU time and memory. On AC,
battstat's CPU load is ~1%, and on battery power it's an incredible ~2%!
It is ironic that by requiring so much CPU power _at all times_, the
battstat applet is reducing battery lifetime.

Also, the applet process is shown to be about 10MB in size, which seems
unreasonable (perhaps it is due to share libraries being counted).
