GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 109901
QIF Import Adds split transaction amounts instead of Subtracting
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:30:35 UTC
QIF Import "Adds" split transaction amounts instead of "Subtracting" them from checking balance. Original checking data maintained in Quicken 2001 Deluxe Release R1 running on Win98_SE. Imported to new install of Mandrake 9.1 running GnuCash 1.8.1 Found that all items marked as "-- Split Transaction --" appear in split mode with total transaction amount in the "Deposit" column with a notation of "withdrawal" in light color instead of showing "Deposit" in light color and the transaction being withdrawn. No idea why it was processed as a "Deposit", because the associated QIF entry clearly has it as a negative amount: ^ D5/ 5' 0 U-239.61 T-239.61 NEFT PWal-Mart LHousehold SHousehold $-26.61 SRecreation Ecamping gear $-92.00 SClothing $-91.00 SCash $-20.00 SGarden $-10.00 ^ The split amounts are shown in the withdrawal column where they should be.
Fixed in 1.8.2 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 105179 ***
