GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 109642
"--" displaying with folder count off but filesize on
Last modified: 2012-09-10 13:02:03 UTC
"--" displays under the icon when I set it to display filesizes but turned off the setting to make it count items in folders (my system is just too slow for that), but all folders have this "--" text under the caption instead of folder size which to me is a tad annoying, since I'd prefer to not having anything at all there since I have the option turned off.
Thanks for your bug report. This issue is definitly fixed in Nautilus 2.8.
I'm sorry, I misunderstood your bug report. I can indeed verify this issue.
Confirming on 2.8.x
<seb128> maybe a wontfix, or changing by "", or perhaps somebody has a better idea ? <interatom> tough <interatom> he has a point <seb128> yeah <seb128> I prefer the "" version, but the empty column is weird ... <interatom> yeah, I guess <dcamp> one sec <dcamp> we could add nautilus_file_get_attribute_with_user_default (file, attribute_name, default); <dcamp> then have the icon and list view provide different defaults <dcamp> or something to that effect <seb128> hum, yep, that's an idea <interatom> sounds good
Still reproducible in Nautilus 2.12. Milestoning to 2.14.
Mass changing Nautilus version for bugs that have GNOME 2.13 version info.
The GTK file chooser's size column is blank for directories. Should we do the same?
