Description of Problem:

This crash occurs sometimes when a gnome-terminal is resized when logged
into a remote host through ssh. It may be related to running ssh with
the -v option (which sends messages to stdout when the resize triggers
occur). I am using openssh 3.4p1 with
RedHat 8.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.  log in using ssh -v
2.  resize the window
3. 

Actual Results:

Fatal crash. Bug is not triggered every time a window is resized.

How often does this happen?

About 25% of the time a resize is attempted.
