GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 108727
Sound prefs ignored
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When disabling the "user is online" sound in audio-preferences, it just gets ignored. GnomeICU plays the sound everytime, even lots of times when connecting. This is very annoying, looks like the sound-path is hardcoded, or the change in prefs is ignored.
did you try to restart Gnome? it is a gnome-sound-properties problem. nothing is hardcoded.
Hmm, ok, you're absolutely right. I had tried restarting gnomeicu, but not Gnome. And now it's fine. Thanks. Maybe report that to gnome, or is it a known issue, maybe fixed in 2.2.1? I'll see...
It is bug 105635 for Control Center, Sound.
this seems to be not our bug then.... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 105635 ***
