GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 108565
Applet always displays "N/A"
Last modified: 2014-10-10 14:34:23 UTC
When I load the wireless applet I simply get the string N/A. What I want is to get the status of my wireless link! Here are the contents of /proc/net/wireless: Inter-| sta-| Quality | Discarded packets | Missed face | tus | link level noise | nwid crypt frag retry misc | beacon eth0: 023f 15. 178. 0 0 0 0 0 11835 0 wifi0: 023f 15. 178. 0 0 0 0 0 11835 0 I checked the code and I think the applet should be able to parse this. Perhaps there is another problem?
Does your wireless interface show up as an option in the preferences?
Yes, both eth0 and wifi0 can be selected. They are actually the same interface.
Ah. That explains it. :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 119471 ***
