Description Egmont Koblinger 2003-03-12 18:45:33 UTC
Description of Problem:

The input method named 'Default' doesn't handle keyboard layout changes (I've tried with "setxkbmap hu" and "setxkbmap us"). The terminal still continues to use the layout that was loaded when it started up. Using the X Input Method this problem doesn't occur, everything is okay. However, I cannot tell gnome-terminal to always use X Input Method, whenever I launch it it is always set back to 'Default'.

Additional Information:

gnome-terminal 2.2.1, vte 0.10.26

Sounds like a gtk bug in the input method
Comment 2 Owen Taylor 2003-03-12 22:22:16 UTC
What GTK+ version?
Comment 3 Egmont Koblinger 2003-03-15 20:38:56 UTC
Yes, in the mean time I realized this problem doesn't only occur in the terminal, but also in other gtk+ applications. Already reported as bug #108406. (gtk-2.2.1).
