Description Adi Dascal 2003-03-07 13:29:06 UTC
For the moment, (gnome-speach from CVS HEAD) there is no support for speech
markers from GS, for festival TTS engine. This causes in gnopernicus #107638.
Could there be added an attribute to the bonobo server file to indicate
that the engine does/ does NOT support callbacks so gnopernicus, or other
gnome-speech client, will not allow voices which support speech markers to
mix with those that don't?

I suggested this, Marc. I guess it amounts to adding a small tagging
interface to gnome-speech, something like GNOME_Speech_Callbacks.

I guess we should have a look at the bonobo-activation query language
to see if there's a more appropriate way that making this a full-blown
"IDL:" query.
