GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 106994
Cursor jumps around when keyboard resize
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
- Start keyboard resizing - Hit left and down to go to the lower right - Use keys to move lower left - Cursor doesn't stay in the same place with respect to the resize grip.
Every other arrow key press seems to push the cursor to the wrong place, then the following press fixes.
Either this bug has been fixed or I don't understand it, because I can't seem to duplicate. Is this still an issue?
I think it was an obvious bug. Seems better now, though I'm seeing some jumping back when I hold down a key and let it repeat. If that can be reproducd with current metacity, that probably should be filed separately. (It might have to do with update-counter changes, so should be tested with HEAD GTK+)
Are you seeing the jumping back only when you hit the screen edge, or at other times? If it's only at the screen edge, this is filed as bug 154706. If it's at other times, and this is gnome-terminal, I don't think we have a bug filed yet. If it's an app other than gnome-terminal and not at the screen edge, I'm not yet aware of the issue.
No, it wasn't at screen edge, no it wasn't with gnome-terminal. (It was mozilla)
Yeah, I can duplicate. It turns out there's another report about just this issue, so I'm going to mark as a duplicate of it.
Doh! Ooops, reopening now so I can mark as a dupe...
