Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: vertical panel failure Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Window List Applet BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem:Appication gnome-panel crashes due to a fatal error. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Vertical Panel on logout 2. 3. Actual Results:all the gnome panel apps yield the error on login. Then gnome works, but without any panel. Expected Results:Normally just comes up. How often does this happen? Additional Information:This is on a hp laptop. I suspect that if I switch to kde all will work without failure. I have a similar problem on a Dell desktop optical gx100 which was fixed by switching to kde. This is another dup of the infamous vertical panel crasher bug. Havoc Pennington made a comment in bug 94625 about where you can get updated fixed packages. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 94625 ***
