Description Yury 2003-02-12 08:04:29 UTC
When terminal window appear on my desktop i see :

Application "gnome-terminal"
(process 1829) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)

Next from
.xsession-errors file:
** (gnome-terminal:1829): WARNING **: Failed to load Xft font
pattern "Sans-10:slant=0:weight=100", falling back to default font.
Comment 1 Havoc Pennington 2003-02-12 13:48:35 UTC
You have Xft configured incorrectly, such that no font can be loaded.
This is a bug in your XftConfig. Apps simply rely on
"Sans" existing.

I am having the same problem but I still unable to figure out where things are going wrong because when I open the font window from the Desktop Preferences, I can clearly see that all applications are using the Sans font (it is also shown in the example window so I don't think that Xft was not able to serve it).
