Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Add the applet to any panel
2. Either remove the applet or close your gnome-session	

Actual Results:
notificatoin-area applet crashes

Expected Results:
applet should have closed normally

A stack trace would be useful, but I guess it's a dup of bug #105421.
If not, please reopen.
